I've done Royal Caribbean but I'm trying to see what else is out there. I like the entertainment and having choices. I'm looking Carnival, Celebrity and Princess. I wanted people's take on their experiences.
I by no means am an expert on cruising, if fact I have only cruise Royal Caribbean one time and Carnival twice. We are booked for another Carnival in Nov 2011. I like Carnival the best out of the two. My reasons being that there seems to always be something going on no matter what time of the day or night on a Carnival ship. The cabins are bigger and you do get more bang for your buck all around. I also like the food better.
We found RC to be to quiet and didnít care for the ships layout or the food. I would try another RC cruise but it would have to be a newer ship.

I would give the Emerald Princess a try. The prices this winter for 10 days are $450 - $500.00 per person. The service even in the Buffet is great. They come around and offer you juice or coffee breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is great. This ship is a real step up from Rccl, Norwegian, Carnival.
I don't know about the other Princess ships but you can allways look to ***Edited to remove commercial reference*** for updated Cruise Reviews.
For me though I just really like Carnival Freedom, Glory, Liberty and Valor.
Winter cruises last minute for 7days $249 per person must be booked 2 - 3
days before departure. No kids because there all in school. Just stay away from Holidays. I hope you have a great cruise what ever ship you choose.

I have been on Princess and Royal Caribbean, we are booked for the first time on Carnival. Both lines have good points and bad. I have found it hard to say one is better than the other. Because I am an older parent of two, we have always tried to find ships that would entertain to both age groups.
I agree the Emerald Princess is very nice and maybe my favorite (for now). We picked the Carnival Splendor this year because friends had picked it and encouraged us to join them.
Enjoy your cruise!
