To face pier from balcony at ports on itinerary, is it best to have stateroom on Port or Starboard side of ship? Also, our balcony stateroom is 6368 on Upper Deck. Seems to be located right over Video Arcade on Promenade deck. Any chance we will hear noise or vibrations from Promenade deck on our balcony or stateroom? Would really appreciate any comments. Thanks.
Hi, we were on that deck in August and we were right above the disco and yes we heard everything! Usually the music lasted until 2 or until no one was left in there which was sometimes a little earlier since the dj was terrible. But yes you can hear the music. We had a blast on this trip though so if you have any questions please feel free to ask I should have posted a review but just haven't gotten a chance.
Happy Cruising!
If I remember correctly most of these ports the ship docks perpendicular to the shore not parallel so port or starboard doesn't matter much. In Barbados we docked in the commercial port - seaside might be better there.

Well we just got back and it is about a 50/50 split as to what side has a better view. Most of the ports were commercial docks so there wasn't really much to see anyways. We were also on the even number side cabins but had an inside room. We were on the lido deck and it could be pretty noisy. That was a major downside, the boat also had a strange vibration that i don't remember feeling on my past cruise. BUT!! It was an awesome cruise and we had sooooo much fun.
A little advice tho, prebook something to do with carnival when you get to St. Lucia. We didn't and we totally missed out on the island because the locals were very pushy and rude. I didn't feel safe at all at that port.
