obstructed view balcony

Who has had an obstructed view balcony and what was your opinion- could you sunbathe there? Was there an acceptable view of the ocean.
Are you looking under or through a lifeboat ?

Probably no sun imo. I've had one obstructed view balcony and it wasn't the best. Sorry, for the bad news.

We had almost signed for one, when we noticed the large "overhang" -- not to be found on normal balconies. My wife likes to tan and thought it would be a problem.

Usually the balconies are where the lifeboats are. Can't see much, not enough sun. However, you get a great view when the ships are in ports that have no pier. Grand Cayman, Hondurus, etc...use the boats and then you get full use of the balcony. So check the itinerary for the best use.
