Stateroom 8228
Anyone been in this stateroom on Verandah Deck. Are "wings" off bridge any problem for view? Notice that cabin across us is for 4 people. Any problem here? Just would like to know about any plus or minuses. One way or another, we plan to really enjoy cruise in May 2011. Can't wait. Celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary.

Hey Newlyweds,
You didn't say what ship you are cruising on. The bridge isn't so wide that it should affect your view. Maybe you can wave to the captain during docking maneuvers. As to the cabin across the hall. While the cabin can hold up to 4 people it might be occupied by only one or two passengers. Only time will tell if they are loud. Two can be louder than four sometimes. Enjoy your cruise, it sounds like you have a good attitude. And after 60 years it is a cruise well earned. |
I forgot to say that the ship was Carnival Victory. I guess that's the answer. Forget about alot of things and forgive the little aggravations. Patience, patience.

I have had Cabin 8229 on the Freedom (same location except on Starboard side of ship). Don't worry about the bridge, you have a good enough view. As for the number of people, you can get four on the balcony, it'd be tight, but you can do it....
That cabin will have an even better view when arriving or leaving port because you can see the Captain/officers at work. You'll notice the captain standing along one side of the bridge docking cuz there is slarge hole with glass that the captain looks down to find their X as to where the ship is supposed to stop on. |
