Just off Elation..re: changes

We just returned from a 5 day cruise on Elation. I am glad to report we saw no significant changes in service. They actually have 2 new shows that were really good. We saw no change in the stateroom or dining room service. The one thing that was different is instead of a picture frame for our Platinum status we received soft drink coupons (4 each..which we did not need since we had purchased drink card/sticker). Crew and staff were all great..esp liked the cruise director Steve and his asst. Skyler. Room was made/turned down 2x day as on previous cruises. The only bad thing that happened was we had engine/propulsion problems and had to forfeit Calica port (for which they gave an onboard credit and refunded port charges).

We were on the two cruises before you.

The Platinum gift on the first cruise was a 6 pack cooler. (we got 4 of them) The gift on the second cruise (our cabin steward realized we had just gotten 4 of the coolers so wanted to give us something else) ... was the CONGRATS book from the Formalities Store with the Funship Freddie stuff inside.

We found 4 children to give those to before we left the ship.

On this cruise (I certainly do not know if this is fleet wide) there was only ONE solo entertainer (there used to be two...one in the Atrium and one the Casino area). On this cruise, they were using the cocktail pianist more to replace the Atrium soloist.

Still did not effect my cruise, but that was one change I personally experienced.

Btw, save the soda coupons...you can use them on future cruises and delay buying the soda card for a day or two !!
