Default Free drinks and shipboard credit

This is how you can make your Carnival Cruise very inexpensive.
First purchase 100 shares of Carnival stock. Everytime you book a 7 day cruise you will be entitled to $100.00 ship board credit. You will need to fax your portfollio to Carnivals promo dept.

Next Sign up for a Citi Diamond Preferred credit card
When you earn 10,000 points = $100 Carnival cruise certificate
My last cruise I used 4 certifcates.

On your next cruise purchase the on - board $100 future cruise vocher
and get $100 shipboard credit on a 7 day.

If you are a big drinker get free drink coupons by asking for a large line of credit. Not on your sail n sign. They will charge you 3% that way.

Before I left for my last cruise I asked for a $10,000 line of credit by calling casino services right after I booked.

They gave me 300 drink coupons on my 2nd day after I signed a marker for $5,000.

I still had all my chips in my safe in the room. I also got free Steak house dinners when ever I wanted.

So there you go if you want to cruise on a smal budget.

You also have to consider the $5,000 in chips you bought, most cruisers may spend a few hundred in a week, not thousands?? You do have some good tips for anyone who will cruise a certain cruiseline all the time...

On some Carnival ships, a mere 1500 points in the casino will get you free drinks for the rest of the cruise.

Mere 1,500 casino points? Not sure how these points are awarded but for us, we usually popped $10 into the 2 cent slots each night before the show to kill a little time and be entertained by the machine. We do not gamble to win, just a few bucks for fun. Anyway, we only got to 100 points. So based on that being a $50 investment and the time required to accumulate those points, as my time is worth something to me, I'm happy paying our $500 bar tab instead.

A already own 100 shares of Carnival (bought around $32 per share a year ago) and have gotten $100 on a 7-day and $50 on a 6-day so far from it.

We also bought two, $100 certificates on our cruise last week.

We're gearing up for either two 7-day B2B or 12ish day Panama Canal transit in 2013.

I hope we get this perk on Glory and Magic this year.

We do tend to spend a good deal of time in the casino.
We have had remarkable luck in the casino overall.
Last cruise I won $1k !! Paid for the trip !

Getting to the 1500 mark....I wonder if it solely based on amount played or if it factors in MAX betting and the higher payouts etc.

When we hit the number do we go to the cage to get the perk or is it automatic somehow?

That's what we were after, the Beemer ! We would throw in the occasional max bet, but not many !

We got so busy with all the other things to do I never had any time to go back in and gamble. I just cashed my $5,000 in chips in for cash and wrote them a check for the $5,000 marker. But I got a great tan. We had a great cruise and I booked April on Freedom.

I hope it will be on Magic. Right now I think it is only a test on about 3 ships.

I think it is 1500 points anyway you can. I'm lucky if I can get to 1000 in a week and that gets me a whopping $10 payback. With the extra incentive and a little luck, I might try betting max once (if?) I get ahead.
