If you're going the day before the cruise, I'd recommend a rental car. It's a pretty quick and straightforward drive. This gives you car to get around for last minute things, walmart, takeout, dinner ...

I'd rent a car. On the morning off, return the car and then get the car company to shuttle you to the pier.

When we went, stayed at the Radisson. It was okay. THey have a nice pool, but it was too cool when we went to enjoy the pool. The radisson is across the street from a McDonald's. IF memory serves ... there was a couple of other restaurants in walking distance, but we wanted to keep it simple.

We actually returned the car early, and then had Avis, shuttle us back to the hotel, and then took the hotel shuttle to the pier. IT was a bit chaotic. That is why I'd recommend the car rental company shuttle. If you use the hotel shuttle, make sure you are on "the list".

We rented a car. Go ahead and make a reservation - it costs nothing and you can always cancel or be a no show.

We stayed at Radisson at the Port. I think they have a shuttle, but it was easiest and I think best to drive there, spend the night, return the car the morning of the cruise and take the car rental shuttle.

There was a pizzeria next door where I picked up a pizza and a bottle of wine to geaux!

We used Coco Beach travel..really reasonable and stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites.. less than 10 minutes from the cruise ship. Nice location clean room. Beach right out the back door..

I used Art's Shuttle and they were great. They met us at the airport and took us to our hotel in Cocoa Beach. The cost was about $60.

If I don't want to rent a car, then what is the best way to get back to the airport from the cruise port? Taxi? Does anyone know this cost? Or, if using one of the above recommended services, do you schedule a pick up with them at the port?
