Default Carnival Imagination

My girlfriend and I are taking our first cruise -- a short, three night cruise to Nassau and back to Miami.

Any suggestions/tips/advice for us newbies?

Mureal(sp) and Rexce ... 2 great bartenders that work(ed) at the bar just outside the casino. I was on Imagination for her 4 night voyage and it was a fun ship. If you see Rexce, tell him "Hi Paul." Its an inside joke from when I was on back in November. I am sure he'll remember it. The 2 of them working together made one heck of a bar team. My Sign and Sail took quite a beating from that bar. :-p

That will be a nice getaway. For the first time cruiser number one rule is to have fun . I would try the Mongolian grill, very good and usually is the main thing for the lido buffet.

Since it is for you and girl, if you want you can request a table for two with the maitre d but I would do that once you get on the ship.

Be sure to try the rum cake out there and check out Atlantis

Take lots of pictures and have fun

We were on the Imagination 4 night cruise to Key West and Cozumel in Nov. and had a great time; only complaint was it was too short.

I love the Fantasy class ships (which Imagination is). Ship's layout is good and easy to get around on, and I like the 10 person tables in the dining room and always enjoy getting to know fellow cruisers. Mrs. Brown and I had a 2 person table on the Legend, and it was nice for a change, but I still prefer those 10 seaters on the Fantasy class!

Hmmm, I was on her in November as well. November 1st sailing. Was good times. And I agree, too short, but a cruise is a cruise.

make sure you both have the day off from work following your return home from the cruise so you can rest
- stay up all night one night of your cruise and watch a sunset and sunrise with your GF on deck
-get a couples massage
-dance in the disco
- sleep on the beach in Nassau
-one night have a romantic dinner for 2 and order in room service the next morning
-shut your cell phone off when you depart, don't take a laptop computer, don't turn your cell phone back on until you claim your bags (in other words, no outside distractions, just focus on one another)
-participate in one of the many crazy games onboard and take lots of pictures
-while you are onboard, book a 7 day cruise for one year from the date of your first cruise
-purchase the bon voyage drink of the day glass for 2 (yes it's price high),but then once a month when you get home make a drink of the day and remember the fun you had on your first cruise

have fun and post when you get back so we can share (p.s. just in case get some seasick pills and sun block)

I was thinking about sailing her again in November when I have a week off, but sadly it looks like she's not sailing on Monday November 7th, and I can't find any information.
