Charleston Park & Cruise hotels - which one?
We're considering this option & looking for opinions on where to stay. Altho breakfast would be nice it's not necessary, I'm more concerned about staying in a decent hotel & getting a shuttle ride to/from the hotel.
I have the website & called several places but haven't seen many customer reviews for Charleston hotels that offer these services.
The three we're considering are the Homestead Hilton (actually booked this one); Best Western Plus & Wyndham Suites.
Any info is appreciated, especially if you've stayed there before or live in Charleston & have knowledge of the area, if its nice, safe, etc.
sleep inn in Mt. Pleasant was really nice. You can leave your car there and they will give you the info to call the transport service. You pay that yourself. It does have a breakfast with waffles, biscuits/gravy cereals and such.
The rooms were huge and very clean quiet area off the road. Only 3-4 minutes to the cruise terminal. (just across the bridge)
Thanks bltberry - any other opinions out there?
We have made a reservation at the Rodeway Inn in Mt Pleasant. They supply a free shuttle both to and from the peir and hot breakfast. I used the following to find it.

I will say I did a lot of research before deciding on them. You have to really read what the places actually include and the price you are comfortable with paying. A lot of places will provide free parking but not shuttle and then a if you choose a place in dowtown Charleston they don't have free parking.
