Question A question about pillows

Here's a question I've not seen posted before, and hopefully someone has the answer. First of all, no complaints whatsoever about the beds on Carnival's ships. They are the most comfortable beds anywhere! But if you would like to have a pillow that is more firm (or less, depending on what you're used to) than the ones that are provided, is there a choice available? I asked a Carnival rep. about this, but she didn't know. Do the cabin stewards have access to pillows of different firmness, are are all pillows the same?

I would also like to know. I have a back problem and I am most comfortable with a flat pillow. I never thought to ask. I hope someone knows the answer and I hope the answer is that we have a choice.

Just re-read my post. In the last sentence, it should be "or are", not "are are". Sorry about the typo.

Shows how observant I am-I didn't even notice !

I don't think there are different types of pillows, but you can always ask for more. I usually need 3 on a cruise to add up to the two I use at home.

The suite guests, get a pillow menu which includes:

Pillow 1: Soft and Downey Pillow, goose down surrounding goose feathers
Pillow 2: New Generation Pillow, synthetic slick fibers, soft, anti allergenic
Pillow 3: Softique Pillow, synthetic, medium, anti allergenic
Pillow 4: Latex Pillow, firm, anti allergenic
Pillow 5: Goose Down, soft

Why not ask the room steward if there is a possibility of getting one of the above, if it would servwe you better..It's certainly worth a try.

Fern, thanks for your input, but stacking pillows just raises my head up higher. Might as well sleep sitting up. Thanks for the tip Trip. I'll check with the cabin steward to find out what's available. I really don't want to take my pillow with me. I'm saving room in my suitcase for a Carnival bed to bring home.

Haven't heard or read anything about Carnival having a problem with bedbugs, so at the risk of sounding naive, I'm not worried.

Just got off the spirit and few weeks ago and we had a suite (6133) and I guess we missed that menu. Learn something new everyday.

They don't ask you as far as I know and we have the penthouse suite twice. I think you have to ask or request ahead of time.
I will be in a suite in November so I'm going to go with pillow number #2!:-D
