I am a long-time lurker and first time poster on these message boards.
We are booked on the Carnival Splendor leaving April 3, 2011 from Los Angeles. My question is regarding time limits on having your kids in camp carnival if you go on excursions in a port. I have seen somewhere that the time limit is 4 hours. We would like to do the Los Veranos canopy tour (have heard such great things about it) but think it will take about 5 hours including travel time. Does anyone have experience with this? It is not a Carnival excursion.
I would like to book it as I believe it is very popular but don't want too if we would be over the Camp Carnival time limit.
Our children are 2 and 3.5 (leaving them on the ship while we are in a port is a whole other issue I need to reconcile myself with too). It isn't an option to take them with us due to their ages.
I would really appreciate any advice/experience with the time limits in Camp Carnvial on port days as well as leaving young kids on the ship while you are in port.
I think the only time they're closed is for meals on sea days.
From what I've heard the kid's LOVE Camp Carnival and don't want to leave, so try not to worry. They'll have a great time !
