Red face Deep Sea Fishing?? ha ha ha

Recently my husband and I returned from our third Carnival cruise within the past 12 months. Needless to say, we have invested a small fortune in Carnival.

While in Cozumel on our last cruise, we purchased through the Carnival excursion desk, a "deep sea fishing" adventure. What a HUGE disappointment. The inexperienced crew of the fishing boat tangled up their lines over and over again circling for what seemed like hours. The most unusal part is, for a supposed "fishing excursion" NONE of us got to even touch a fishing pole.

When I brought this to Carnival attn., along with the fact none of the tour guides could speak english, Carnival refused to refund us for this preticular excursion and told us we were wrong. That the tour guides "did speak english.....they just had an accent". Hmmmmm......

A refund of the excursion would have proven that Carnival stands behind the excursions they endorse. Unfortuatnly, that didnt happen....so now here we are. For the principal of the matter I truly believe Carnival should refund us for the bogus excursion, after all it doesnt even amuont to 1/20th of what we have spent with Carnival this past year or for that matter even 1/90th of what I have spent on Carnival during my past 5 cruises.

Any suggestions on how we can get Carnival to make amends for our woes??

This alone, would have driven me crazy...."told us we were wrong. That the tour guides "did speak english.....they just had an accent".... That is the antithisis of good customer service

I agree, tell John what transpired and, hopefully he can advise you.

We all started with post #1...let's give them the benefit of the doubt.... a bad situation, and frustration often is the impetus to post, and get feedback.

I would contact Guest Relations at Carnival. John really has no authority to speak of, but might be able to hook you up with the same people.

I for one would like to thank you for your first post as this was(operative word WAS) one of the excursions we were going to sign up for.

Sorry it didn't work out for you, glad I found out ahead of time.

True. But it is rude to sign up, make the first (and ONLY) post and make it a gripe. No further posts with a thank you for people's time spent offering possible solutions. Maybe they never got refunded, true, but some sort of acknowledgement would have been nice.
