Well I guess that the West Coast 7 & 8 Day Mexican Riveria cruises are a thing of the past. But there are still a few exceptions. There is a 3, 4, day, (Baja Cruise), and 7 day cruise, but they don't go to certain ports of call anymore. All the Controversy about Mexico is to blame. We really enjoyed the 8 day Exotic Mexican Riveria cruise that departed from San Diego, and cruised to Manzanillo, Istapa / Zihuatanejo and Acapulco Mexico aboard the Carnival Spirit. We'd love to go on that cruise again. Also it doesn't look like any other cruise line is going to Mexico either.
What are your thoughts?

Reminds me of the old Vietnam joke when planes were bringing in new troops. The pilot's announcement:
"We will be landing soon. The temperature on the ground is 96 degrees and the humidity is 98%. The winds are calm and the ground fire is light to moderate!"
Just looked at Princess cruise line they have 27 cruises to Mexico from April of this year to April 2013. We are thinking about a 10 day Mexico Cruise out of San Fransico.
Well it's not quite in the past for me as we are going on our first cruise EVER in June for our Honeymoon. It will be on the Splendor to the Mexican Riviera.
I would be frustrated if we had cruised in the past being that they cancelled a port and I wanted to experience more than just being on the boat.
Being though that it is our first cruise I have to say I could care less if they sailed away from shore and sat there for the full 8 days I'm just excited to be going on a boat, dressing up for formal night, casino and relaxing with just us two.
