I am going on my first cruise ever with me my wife and a couple that I am friends with. I have found a lot of usefull info and can't wate to leave. I will be going on a 7 day cruise out of Mobile, Al. on July 2nd on the Elation. What advice would y'all give to a person that is new to all of this.
Location: On the Lido deck of any ship taking shots of Kamakazi's with Partyanimal & Co.
Just remember that you are on vacation and that it may not go they way you had it planned in your head or your expectations weren't meet to your standards but it beats being at work or home any day of the week. Just remember to have FUN!! That is why they call it the fun ships. Post a review/pictures when you return. Just remember after your first one, you will be hooked and will go thru withdraws. That is what Cruismates is for! You will never not have a cruise booked!! Have a fantastic time!!
Be prepared to book another one as soon as you get back, you will be HOOKED!!!

Put sun block on constantly. You will understand the meaning of hot in the Carribean in July. If you or your wife get cold it seems they keep the A/C inside the ship around 60 degrees. My wife brings sweaters but I like it cold. But Have a great time and eat you fill. And then eat some more. Oh and don't forget 24 hour pizza and now they have Calzones that are out of this world. Don't forget Lobster night and order as many as you can eat. Remember it's just the tails. In Cozumel get out of the Tourist trap called Puerto Maya and catch a taxi downtown. Have the driver drop you off at Starbucks. That is where you can start you shopping adventure. Hats are like $6.00. Also fin a place called "AMBAR" for lunch. The Chicken Quasadillas are "Oh My God" for $6 and $1.00 Coronas.
In Grand Cayman take the Stingray City tour and the first on of the day is the best before 20 boats of people show up on one sand bar. It is a one in a lifetime bucket llist thing to do. 3 feet deep water or less. Jamaca is in a really bad nieghborhood take some kind of tour with the ship but do not go off on your own here you can really get mugged or worse here.
There are 800,000 people in Kingston and only 150,000 have jobs. Keep safe, Have a great Cruise. Ed
