We won't be cruising until 2013....yeah, that is sad and such a long time to wait.
Anyway...we were thinking about driving from Pittsburgh to Baltimore. Has anyone driven to Baltimore and where do you park?
We would like the best rates and a place close to the dock that we would sail out of.
If not driving, then maybe we would rent a bus? Has anyone ever done this?
I think the ship is the Carnival Pride
Thanks in advance for all information.
Our group sailed 4-10-11 from Baltimore. All together there was 32 of us so we took a bus to the port. If I wanted to drive I would definitely park at the pier, Secure area just steps from the terminal. I think they charge 15. or 17. a day. From Pittsburgh I would take the turnpike to Breezewood, I-70 to baltimore beltway south, I -95 north about 2 miles to McComas st. exit, the cruise Maryland terminal is about 2 blocks from the exit ramp. It should take about 3 hrs. from Breezewood.I have driven to this area before from my home near Breezewood and it's a nice easy drive on a Sunday. You can go to google earth and enter (E McComas st. Baltimore Md.21230 )and see the port very clearly. You will see 2 parking lots, one on each side of the building one side is for Carnival the other for Royal Caribbean Enjoy the cruise!!

I was on the Pride last Summer and my husband and I drove to the Baltimore port. VERY easy to get to the port and parking was great. The lot sits right at the dock. As you drive into the parking lot you will drop off your luggage just before entering. You then continue around to enter the lot where they will make you pay first. The lot sits next to the terminal where you check in so very easy walking. Parking was ample. We had a balcony room so I could see the parking lot from our balcony after boarding and the lot was probably only 3/4 full. You should not have any issues at all. Just enjoy your cruise.
