Default Airfare Booked!!

We finally book our airfare for our November cruise! Southwest’s schedules are open up to January 2012. We got a good price, great times and don’t forget bags are free!

I love SouthWest, too. They are a great airline. But that said, they still have not lowered their price flights in the Summer between BWI and Ft. Lauderdale. I'm very disappointed. I've been searching their prices on-line every Tues since they opened their schedule for the mid-August timeframe and the best round-trip rate for my dates for a non-stop I can get is $340. I went to Ft. Lauderdale in January and flew for $180. Looks like they may not lower prices any further so I guess my husband and I will have to drive to Ft. Lauderdale for our cruise since we calculated driving will be cheaper than flying. I just don't look forward to that long drive. Oh well, as long as I get to the port on time, that's all that matters.

Oddly, when I priced our Epic fares last fall. Southwest was higher then Spirit Air, even when adding in the cost of luggage, etc.

It must be locations and time of booking, when you get a deal. Glad you did.

Spirit was cheaper but I had a bad experience with them and vowed never to fly them again. However the way things were beginning to look I thought Spirit might be are only reasonable option. Thank goodness Southwest was pretty reasonable when adding in the free bags and the great flight times.

Nice job Aerogirl....
I recently booked air for an Oct. cruise, checked the other day, not even 2 weeks later, and already $200 more than what I paid, so I feel good about that....

Good thing you booked when you did Donna. I'm happy with what I paid and the flight times are great for us.

Aerogirl,
Yep, glad I did book it, also got the only two direct flights to and from Ft. Lauderdale, just glad the times fit with the cruise. I was actually going to go a day early, but those flights were more money, so then the cost of a hotel, etc....just didn't make sense to end up spending hundreds more, so this will work out nicely.
