Default flying from Orlando

I am trying to book a 11.30 am flight from Orland. My question is will I have enough time to get to the airport from the cruise ship without worrying. What time due they let you get off the ship and how long to get your bags,I went on Rccl and they let you carry your bags off yourself if you have an early flight. Thanks Jimbo

Personally I would not suggest a flight until after 12 noon or later. The drive to MCO will be 30 - 45 minutes....possibly longer depending on traffic. The airport can be crowded.... the ship could be delayed getting into port..... customs officials could be slow..... Your choice, but I sure wouldnt risk it and stress on the last day of the cruise. Cruiselines make flight time suggestions for a reason...LESS RISK !

Can it be done ??? Sure, anything is possible !
Are you willing to take that risk ??? Your CHOICE !

Carnival does have self disembarkation but if you plan to use it pack light! They seem to assign disembarkation based on flight times so if you keep your 11:30 you should be in one of the first groups.

As fun2cruz said the time you are actually released from the ship depends on many factors outside of Carnival's control.

I have to agree that 11:30 is REALLY cutting it close. I think that 45 minutes from the port to MCO is absolutely BEST CASE too. You could try it, but I think you'll be in for ulcer treatment at best!

Jimbo, if the flight you're looking at is really cheap compared to the next flight, don't do it! You'll find that the airline's know when the ship's will disembark, and charge accordingly.

I'd also suggest you look at your booking on the Carnival web site. They'll usually give you the earliest time you can book your return flight.
