We will be taking are secound cruise in awhile it will be with Carnival on the Conquest. Are first Cruise was with Princess on the Sapphire with Princess. I was wondering is the lay out of the Conquest the same as the Princess as far as getting from one end of the ship to the other? Do you have to go either up or down a couple of decks sometimes to get from one end to the other. And I suppose they have a lobster night also are first cruise was a 14 day cruise this next one is 7 days when will lobster night be on this next cruise on the way home or when ?(love the lobster)
On Conquest class ships, the lower level of the dining rooms (Deck 4) have the galley located between the two dining rooms.
So... on Deck 4 you can't get to the aft dining room... just like on the Grand Class from Princess.
Almost all of the ship's other public rooms (lounges, shops, etc) are located on Decks 5 & 6 (around the atrium).
All you really have to do is use Deck 5 & 6, or the passenger decks above that to move fore and aft. Once you get used to that routine, the rest of the layout makes sense.
On Conquest decks 3 and 4 have the galley, so neither of these decks go thru. Just go down to 2 or up to 5. If you remember its the two decks that have the MDR that do not go thru, getting around is easy.
Kuki you are probably thinking of the smaller ships where the MDR is only one deck, so only one deck does not go thru?
Lobster night should be the first seaday, so Monday night. It is very small and now comes with 4 large grilled shrimp. If you order 2 lobsters, they usually bring the full plates, since Carnival pre-plates. If you just want the lobster, they have to throw away the rest of what is on the plate. (I know I just want two lobsters and wish they would just give me that). Iv been on Conquest 5 times now, so if you have questions, I might know the answers.
if you want maine lobster, you need to go to the steakhouse. The one they serve now free is caribbean.

You mentioned the steak house so I went to carnivals web site to check it out and it stated you should request your table two weeks before you set sail Boy I am glad I saw that!Love the lobster and shrimp
Im not a steak eater, but people tell me the steak served on the Conquest is a higher grade than at Chops on RCL.
Im with ya on the lobster. It is probably my favorite.
There are two buffet areas up on Lido for the Conquest (a big improvement over Triumph class). The first one has the steak house upstairs. The 2nd one has Sur Mer upstairs. Sur Mer is the fish and chips and if you get on and its crowded, its a great place to go as its almost always deserted up there. Some people never notice the little cardboard signs on the bottom of the stairway. Try the seared tuna on the square of watermelon. It sounds wierd, but was surprisingly good. Sur Mer is only open at lunch, but the tables are always free up there. We played bridge up there one week, as it was the quietest place on the ship.
