Dream Rooms

Hello, we are booked on the Dream for 1/7/12. We booked two rooms 6492 & 6490. We were told that we would be able to open the balconies up to connect the two by our TA. Now a differant agent is telling me that the two don't open up.
Does anyone have any first hand knowledge on this?

6492 is a sweet room! Doesn't look like they are adjoining rooms however. That would lead me to believe that they do not "open up" to each other inside or on the balcony.... Can't be 100% sure however.

Took some looking but found it finally. (from goccl). they also dont look like they would connect around that corner to me. go ccl is what your TA would be reading and looking at. Its the TA Carnival site for info.

Here is a picture of the two cabins side by side, can't call it either way but it looks like they might open..

They look like two awesome cabins anyway. Id even love the L shaped cabin. I would love these cabins, even if they dont connect.

The Carnival provided TA site, goccl, is supposed to be accurate, but there have been instances of mistakes, clearly says there cabins do not connect.

The cabins that the balconys open up to each other there would be a cabin number in there if they opened up to each other.

Here are two right next to the 9C wrap that do connect and you can see how they are marked.

We've not been on the Dream yet, but we have been on the Destiny, and the layouts are similar. We had cabin #6344 on the Destiny (L-shaped room) and loved it. The balcony is slightly wider, but the partition between it and cabin # 6346 is a fixed panel that cannot be opened. I believe the same is true for cabin #6490 & #6492 on the Dream. We'll be on the Liberty next May (2012), cabin #6450, and the layout on that ship is about the same as the Destiny and the Dream. RTALLEN, that is the website I used before booking and by some of the pics it looks like the partition had hinges and a lock. Either way We are going to keep the rooms. It just would have been nice to open it into one extra large balcony.

We had cabin 6492 in April and I think that the partition between 6492 and 6490 will open. You are going to love the balcony even if you can't open the partition....it's awesome.
