Nassau

We will be in Nassau in Jan (carnival Dream). Not sure what excursion to go on - if any. We are only there for like 6 hrs max - which really sucks - and not sure if the $$ you pay for the excursions (mainly to Atlantis) is worth the little time we will spend there with crowds, transportation, etc. Any suggestions?

We have gone to nassau before and walked through Atlantis going to the Dig etc. Its just we are not there that long. Dont know what to do ----- but i know my good friends out there will guide me in the right direction! Thanks in advance!!

I am in the same boat as you, have no idea what to do there, may just end up at Atlantis again, I really enjoyed seeing the aquarium.

We have used portpromotions.com, and in Nassau, they offer the following options: Reputable company, used by many people I know. Maybe one of these looks interesting, rather than going back to Atlantis.

I don't know anything about the above excursions, but if Trip recommend's them, I wouldn't have any problem recommending them, too.

We did the ship's Atlantis tour and it really wasn't much. You could take a taxi and get the same (or better) tour. Halfway through our tour it started "spitting" rain and our tour guide said he couldn't continue because it was raining

! I thought he was just trying to leave early, and I think that's what he did!

Thank you Fern....Once in Barbados, we had Harrisons Cave booked with another family, in a van. Somehow there was a mixup. I called them, and, they arranged a private driver tour,of the caves, a plantation and then dropped us off to shop. The driver was wonderful, and, he knew everything about his island home.I think they really came through with flying colors for us.

I wish we'd had your tour in Barbados! We'd booked with the ship and they cancelled it
