When I sailed on Princess you could order your excursions ahead of time and it would be charged to your sign & sail card. When I look up excursions on Carnival it ask's for a credit card. Do you have to prepay on Carnival?

Yes, they want the money up front since its billed to what ever tour company you use. I for one will not use the cruiseline tours. You can find the same exact tour on the pier for about 1/3 the cost. All its takes is a little commen sense and not be scared to venture out on your own.
yep, you sure do - and its charged immediately. Its nice because makes the sail and sign card look less damaging..lol. However, you can delete and they will credit your account if you decide to cancel or switch before sailing. Where are you going?
I wait and book excursions as soon as I am onboard, as I usually have some OBC to use toward excursions.
I think Carnival does have some bargains, like discover mexico for $25, and we docked downtown and they had to send those from our ship by private taxi each way, so I know they didnt make much on that one.
Iv never seen anyone mention it on any cruise message boards, but some ships have these red kiosks, Ecstasy had them, but Elation did not have them, so its ship specific.
I was waiting for the excursion desk to open and someone said you know you can just book it at this kiosk and its a touch screen, no need to wait for at the excursion desk if you know what you want to book and not there to ask questions.
There was a little red thing at both ends of the desk that I always ignored and never looked closely at.
