Our Lucaya Beach Excursion

My mom and I are going on a Carnival cruise next month and would like to go to the beach in Freeport, Bahamas. My mom is 76 so we were thinking of taking their excursion for $66.00 to Our Lucaya beach even though the cab fare is $5.00 each way. I understand if you go on your own you pay to use the beach now. Is the water beautiful? Is it worth it? She really wants to see some clear, tourqoise water.

While I have not been to that hotel, I have heard about it..my gf has snorkeled there and loved it. All the waters in this area are beautiful.

You don't have to, but if you want to use hotel facilities you are supposed to. The beach itself is free and there is no charge just to walk around. At least when we were there.

In any event, before I paid the cruise ship $66, I would contact the hotels directly (there is more than one) and ask how much for a day pass for cruisers.
