I have heard you have to buy a pass to go on Our Lucaya Beach, is this true?

Welcome! you can get passes to go most places, I think there are websites that do this, others will know more.

Lucaya beach is in Freeport I believe and yes, you can purchase a day pass at a number of hotels; however, the free beach is next door to the Hilton and you can rent chairs for $10, there are hair braiders, cocktail stands, and the casino is right there. It is also across the street from several shops and restaurants where you can try the conch fritters.
