On all of my cruises i usually always do main dining time but only late dining was available on this cruise. Will it be any different then main dining? Do many people do late dining and will we still have table mates?
We have always done late dining but I'm pretty sure it is the same as early.
We all enter the dining room at approximately the same time, you sit at the same table with the same servers and have the same menu. Probably have the same "entertainment".
On our cruise in February there did seem to be more empty tables than we were used to seeing.

We love the late dining. Never any rush to get ready especially on days in port. If you get hungry earlier then dinner there is always something to munch on. You will never starve on a cruise....
No, late dining is usually around midnight and you eat with the staff. Generally they serve you leftovers from the buffett that has been sitting under a heat lamp since noon. They will vacuum the dining room about the time your wilted salad arrives. Enjoy!

Always have selected the late dining and the main reason is that on port days you will be able to relax and have a casual drink before dinner and sometimes you will attend the main production show before dinner. Few kids the second seating hooray!
