Trip is right. Take a look at your "sign-n-sail" card when you check in, and chances are you'll have what you requested. If not, check the "Fun Times", or go to the pursers desk, and find out when, and where the Maitre'd will be available for requests. Go EARLY to see him/her if you don't have what you want. The earlier the better for your choice of dining options.
Have a GREAT cruise.
You can see when you have a cabin assigned, by going to the Carnival web-site and checking all your info. As soon as it is assigned, it will show there....Not so with the dinning unfortunately....Seems the last few years, there is a shortage of traditional dinning, haven't gotten that in years, so have to do the anytime, which is fine, plus there is all the alternative venues and the buffet..

You're right about the shortage of traditional dining. It's almost like they're trying to force everyone (ala NCL) to take "My Time Dining". That's exactly why I stopped cruising NCL. I WANT traditional dining, and am not at all interested in anything else.
