That Carnival has removed shrimp cocktail as a nightly menu selection? A staple for many of us, who drool at the sight of some plump juicy shrimp arriving at our plates, we will have to survive sniff, sniff...
They are offering some delish options though....fried shrimp...be still my heart.....stuffed mushrooms, and crab cakes..among others.
The change up for the other menu options will assure none of us will go hungry
I will have to admit, sometimes the taste can be hit or miss for me, not everyone
a winner.
Happy, sad, or, could care less?

I would rather see the menu changing each night rather than than same old same old with a few modifications. Even if it means shrimp cocktail is not available every night.

Earth scorching heat and drought across the southwest.
No shrimp cocktail available on Carnival.
These are definitely signs of the Apocalypse.
I personally could care less as long as the other appetizers are good. From what I see from the new menus there won't be any need to "fall back" to a shrimp cocktail.
Take care,
Mike

I love shrimp cocktail but not every night. Plus to me the shrimp cocktail had gone downhill, not quite the same quality. More, but smaller shrimp now. You used to get four larger ones, now its five smaller ones usually.
I never have a problem finding something I like, (the stuffed mushrooms and the crab cakes sound wonderful ), but DH likes Shrimp Cocktail, Ceaser Salad, a beef entree' with potato, and ice cream for dessert.
Not having Shrimp Cocktail every night won't upset him, but he'd be happier if it was available!
As Trip said, none of us will go hungry !

That is a little bit of a shame as eating shrimp serves as a natural way to prevent sunburns (but I imagine you have to consume quite a bit). I would also imagine that the cocktail is a bit healthier than the fried shrimp. Still, as long as the fried shrimp isn't completely coated in batter, then it should be fine.
I would imagine that, on a cruise of all places, it should be fairly easy to satisfy my grok-tastic dietary needs.
I always have the shrimp cocktail. Maybe I need to back out of my up-coming cruise in 2 weeks ? Fried shrimp is high in cholesterol.
Sometimes I order soup and it's cold. The Waiter will argue back..."but sir this soup is Gazpacho ". I don't care what you call it...my soup was cold !

Ny husband and I could care less about the shrimp. I don't eat it and when he has gotten it, it looks like the shrimp in the shrimp ring at the grocery store that sells for $5. Not high quality or good sized by any means.
