I was just speaking to Carnival within the last week and was told many people show up day of cruise and book. I decided to book over the phone ahead of time because the price was cheap enough for me. He said if it went any lower I could get a free upgrade but so far it has only went up. Thats just for a inside cabin though.

Just talked to Carnival and we got a suite. Apparently somone had to cancel for some reason. Hate that their gonna miss their cruise but glad the opportunity came about. Now if the next 9 days could just fast forward!

you cant just show up and book, you have to call even the day of a cruise to book. It can be totally last minute, but cant be booked at the pier, or so my PVP says.

There used to be folks who had the name of someone at the pier, captain someone on here .. but these lists and opportunities seem to have gone away. Im told you now have to call to book. (unless you work in the business)
