Just wondering if anyone has been on the Victory lately. Are there live bands or just DJ's? Just wondering. DH & I leave on Jan. 15th out of San Juan....Thanks for any information
We were on the Sept 4th sailing. You will see a bit of both but the live bands they do have are very small. Unfortunately they have been downsizing the lido bands lately, we really liked the large bands with lots of energy. IMO did a lot to reduced the fun atmosphere on deck.
Carnival has also downsized the "show band" as well. Probably won't see the horns that usually appear with that group. (They fill in with pre recorded tracks.) Still have GREAT shows and entertainment, but as a musician, I miss the live music.
Darn!!!! This will be our 10th cruise with Carnival. The past two cruises have been parrothead cruises.... they bring aboard their own bands. (Good bands I might add!) This time we were going to just go by ourselves....In the past have always enjoyed various bands. Love to dance!!!

"SKY"
Yes....Sadly, reduction of "live bands" are yet another cutback that CCL has chosen to do in effort to keep their bottom line "in check" and shareholders happy.
