Default Club O2 question

We will be traveling with a 17-year-old senior in high school (our daughter), as well as her 18-year-old best friend (also a senior but about four months older than our daughter). According to Carnival's website, Club O2 is for 15- to 17-year-olds. How strict is this policy? Is it solely dependent on age or will they take into consideration that our daughter's friend is still in high school? Thanks in advance.

From our experience, they are very strict on the age policy. We took my daughter who was baerely 18 and her cousin who was 17 and she wasn't allowed in the 17 year old "clubs" and he wasn't allowed in the 18 year old "clubs". But there is so much to do on a cruise that they can't do tons of stuff "together" without going to the Club 02.

Thanks. That's what I figured but I was hopeful.

This is one of the age groups that they are the most strict...

HOWEVER it never hurts to ask. Have the 18 year old bring proof that they are still in high school. "sometimes" they will make an exception....but it truly depends on the cruise. If Club O2 is already maxed out, they are not going to add others to it.
