Carnival Magic Stateroom Question

Are all oceanview staterooms that are located midship on Riviera Deck considered the "Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms"? Thanks, in advance.

You should be able to tell by looking at a deck plan

The great feature about those staterooms is that they have two bathroom areas. That configuration is not found anywhere else on the ship other than the deck one oceanview cabins!!

Well, not really two full bathrooms.

One has a toilet, basin, and shower and the other has a "half-bath/shower", basin, but no toilet.

Snoozeman December 3rd, 2011 01:50 PM

Where's the photo? :D

Yes they are more like a bath and a half bath...still cool for that category.

1st thing I thought when I saw you replied, "don't tell me he has a photo of one of those cabins" ;)

zydecocruiser December 3rd, 2011 06:34 PM

Nope. not a chance... :p

Off topic slightly but you have to put your card in a slot to have lights on in the cabins. I kept taking the card out so I would not forget it .. and then having the cabin pitched into darkness 60 seconds later where I had to feel my way back to the door area to put the card back into the slot.

I had to ask the cabin steward how to even turn the lights on (I know I felt like duh!!! stupid).

Thank you, everyone! The photos are great. Flowers, I had a similar experience in a hotel room in Rome. I chalked it up to being a wasteful American--we wouldn't think of that, LOL!

Numerous hotel chains in the US are installing similar light control systems as part of the ongoing Green Lodging push nationwide.

Put your supermartket, cvs or old bank card in the slot, and, leave it there..

Sulross December 4th, 2011 04:51 PM

Don't actually have to have your sea pass card if not convienent. I just got off the magic and used a wallet calendar. Just needs something to reverse the circuit. At first we used the sea pass, but found out if you are charging an electical devise it stops also if you remove, so went with the calendar, which does the same thing and can be left in when leaving the room.

Thanks to both of you! We always turn off the light's when we leave the cabin, but having to use our cruise card to keep one light on before we open the door to go out seems a little extreme :). We'll use another card and take it out of the slot when we're really leaving!

Question. Does anyone have pictures of the closet. I read another post saying the closet rod was different.

Trip December 4th, 2011 10:55 PM

Nothing unusual about the one we had.

Snoozeman December 4th, 2011 11:11 PM

I've had three cabins on the Magic.

Two had the standard clothes rod as in a normal closet. One had the rod running front to back so that the clothes were facing the front.

Trip December 5th, 2011 10:51 AM

Sooo glad my cabn didn't have it that way !

cruise soon December 6th, 2011 08:08 PM

Thanks. I hope we get the standard closet. Not a cruise buster though.
