I am sure that for many, the cruise director is important to their cruise experience, but for me, I couldn't tell you any that have captured my attention enough to be a must have onboard any ship.

In general.... they have no affect on my cruise, other then some more annoying than others !

Carnival has legions of cruisers who connect with the CD's, more so then other lines...For them, this listing might make a difference.

Goose Neumann is the CD on our cruise on the Valor in Feb. Have never heard of him. So will have to see.

I agree with fun2cruiz about the CD not being a reason to cruise a ship or not. They do not make or break a cruise for us.

To me the most important thing a CD does is have a good group working for him/her. If those people are not good then the activities are not good. But then we don't do a lot of the activities.

We also don't care too much about the cruise director. If they're good with the crew it usually shows by the crew's attitude.

Generally, the only time we see a CD is on the "Morning Show" or the "Debarkation Talk" on TV.

I see that our next cruise on the Magic, in May, 2012, has Butch as the CD. Any opinions?

Just back from Inspiration where Stephanie Meads is Cruise Director. She was nice, personable and funny. I too agree that the Cruise director does not make or break my cruise.

Not too sure how accurate the listing are…. it was wrong for my cruise on the Freedom.
Brad Calabrese was ours when it should have been Ryan Fitzgerald.

Robin, this is up to date, as taken from John's Blog the other day. Sometime due to circumstances, things get switched around. Ship happens!

I kind of figured something happened from the time the list was put up on JH's blog and it made no difference to me who the CD was.

He is the CD who helped me propose to Liz !
