Investigate El Junque rain forest tours..you have the time to do it up right...take a city tour to show you this beautiful city..Visit the two forts. If you have a Saturday, there used to be a crafts fair, at the port in the old city, by the fountain..lots of local crafts....Take a tour of the Baccardi Rum Factory.....phew....lots to do..have fun!
If you are adventurous and timely you can go over to Vieques of Fajardo and kayak in their bioluminescent bays. We did Vieques in October - incredible.

In October, our small group rented a mini-van, did the "Trip" trip mentioned above. The rental place will have a map, plenty of places to stop & shop all over the island.
One side trip not mentioned is the radio telescope at Aricebo.
This was an amazing sight, even better than the movies. (RE: James Bonds "Goldeneye"). Takes a while to get there, but worth it. The drive is very scenic too.
