Can someone give me cruise parking options for Charleston, SC cruise port? All I can find seem to be at the port itself and no off premisis parking.
Thanks
As of two years ago there was only warehouse parking,I don't think this has changed. I was apprehensive about the lines to get to the parking and unloading of baggage but it was o.k. I would be more worried about the ship. carnival has really gone downhill, service stinks!!.
We cruised from charleston in oct and since we live 8 hours from the port we drove up the day before. I did a lot of research and did find a hotel in mt.pleasant where we could stay, leave our car and they provided shuttle service to and from the port. there is no other way to park for the cruise other than the warehouse parking mainly because the port is right in the downtown area and there is not much parking for anything. there are some hotels that do have the same stay/park and cruise but many do not supply shuttle service.

Thanks for your views and help. I live in Augusta and the drive to Charleston is only 3 hours. Our last cruise was from Port Everglades and that is 10 hours away. Used to live in Houston and the Galveston port was 1 1/2 hours away. Oh well guess Port Canaveral or Jacksonville appear.
Again thanks for the help.
I don't think that there's one. You can get a sail and park rate for some of the local hotels, but be careful with the prices. We go to Charleston at least twice a year and one of the hotels that we usually stay in wants $229.00 for a nights stay and parking for a 6 night cruise. We stay in the same hotel all the time for $79.00 a night (parking at port is $95.00). We do get a gruop rate but thats still kind of costly tome. I'm not sure if you haveever cruised out of Charleston before but the parking isn't all that bad. You can drop you luggage off between 9:30- 11:00am and we were told that we could get in line for the parking lot at 11:30, the parking lott opens at 12:00. You park in a old wharehouse, big parking spaces. A bus then takes you about 150 yrads to the dock and you get on the ship. We were on the Lido deck about 1:15.
