Default Coba Mayan Ruins

Hoping I can get some more insight regarding this tour. I want to book it but leery of the time it takes....I have 2 kids 11 and 7 plus hubby. He really wants to do this tour. But just wondering if anyone has done it recently and found it hard to get around. Saw that you have to rent bikes? Not sure what all that means. any and all help will be appreciated
