Jacksonville

Hi, Everyone:

Kinda' new here, but hopefully you can help. New to cruising. Plannign on Bahamas cruise as a present. Live in FL so I've got options to cruise. But driving to Jacksonville is closer and well gas prices....

So does anyone have any insight into the ship, Fascination? Is there a difference in embarking that makes Canaveral / Lauderdale better? Miami is just a bit too far. I'd have passed the Bahamas by then!

I'm going to be sitting by the pool cocktail in hand anyway, so should I just save my money and go to JAX and use it at the bar onboard, or make the drive?

The only difference is the choice of vessels. Fascination is one of the oldest Carnival ships in the fleet. They have updated her, but it still is just not as impressive or active as the bigger & newer ships.
