Booking through Travelocity

Hello all,

Just booked the Fascination for May 31 through Travelocity. I have a question about the booking and how it gets transferred through Carnival. Will my reservation get transferred to them by Travelocity? The reason I ask this is because I tried looking up my reservation on the Carnival site but do not have a booking number so was unable to locate any type of reservation, don't really know if this is even important. Also have heard people talk about getting upgrade offers from Carnival as well as other things but am not sure if I will be eligible since I booked through travelocity. Any feedback is appreciated!

You should receive an email from Travelocity with your booking number. Travelocity (or whoever they are now using for cruise booking) will be the "agent of record".

Once your receive the booking number from Travelocity you will then go to Carnival and look at your booking. It may take a little time to get into the Carnival system but it should be less than 24 hours.

On the Carnival site you will need to fill out your "Fun Pass" information and you can pre-order shore excursions, buy Bon Voyage stuff but any changes to the reservation have to go through Travelocity. Carnival will not talk directly to you.

Travelocity should have the same exact rates. They are not allowed to advertise lower rates.

You might just not have seen the same rate on the Carnival site? That is not a TA who ordinarily discounts.

TA had a resident rate that was about 300 dollars less than the Carnival site, maybe it was a special deal or something, don't know.

By the way, was able to get into the Carnival site and see my reservation yesterday. Just took a little time like Mike said.
