pre cruise miami hotel question
I always fly in the day before we leave - lesson learned the hard way a long time ago. Sailing out of Miami on the Breeze --- where do you suggest. Just need a 'place to stay' overnight as our flight prob won't even arrive until late evening and we will be leaving in a.m. for cruise. I imagine I'll have to transfer back to hotel - to transfer to ship? Thanks in advance.
We stayed at the LaQuinta Inn Airport, we did a park and cruise but the hotel offers free shuttle to the cruise terminal, you just need to pay for the taxi ride back to the airport.
The hotel is nothing fancy, but nice and the price wasn't bad. I think there are 2 Laquinta inns near the airport....east and west if I remember right, can't remember which we stayed at though. Just look up park and cruise hotels for Miami and you will get the right one.

i assume you are flying into mia airport. perhaps you could check the holiday inn port miami. we stayed there on our last cruise . it is resonable and clean , $170 per night . taxi from airport cost for 2/$ 25. plus tip to hotel . it is across from the bayside market closest to the cruise termimal . hotel shuttle or taxi to the termial your choice there are stores and dining in the market happy cruising
we've stayed at the hyatt doral that had transfer to the ship included in our cost. very nice hotel, free breakfast. not right next to the port but was great for our purpose
Last cruise from Miami I stayed at the Extended Stay America - Brickell. $70 plus tax for the night and free parking for the week. I had to pay for the shuttle to the port in the morning. I also paid for a taxi back to the hotel at the end of the cruise. Very clean hotel, safe area for walking. Restaurants within walking distance. Rooms had kitchenettes. Several restaurants delivered menu's to the rooms. I tried one of those. Not reccomended.

20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please don't let Kevin Bacon die.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Airport South Blue Lagoon. Free airport shuttle and breakfast and a cruise package with two one-way transportation to Port of Miami.
My criteria that I enter are: Miami Downtown, 3 1/2 star rating, and $99 room price.
You will be suprised on what you get - Mariott Biscayne Bay 3 1/2 star (amazing view of the port with the ships coming in turning around not to mention the sunrise and sunset of the day) and Intercontinental Miami 4 star rating - where I'll be staying at for this next cruise.
