Default Duty Free Liquor Limit in Texas

Snoozeman I just visited you web site and see that Texas has changed the law on Liquor. I see now we can land 1 gallon of Spirits, up from one Quart. That is good news.
Is this law effective now?

Yes it is......and the Triumph was still giving out the old information when I was on her in May. I think the Magic is still giving out the old info although I brought back my gallon when I was on the BC4.

It is about time they changed. Have the changed the part about delivering what you have purchased prior to sailing from Bon voyage? I know I ordered a bottle of wine when my sister cruised for the first time and they could not deliver until the day after we sailed due to Texas laws.

I wish they would change the other regulation now. It really stinks when you want to surprise someone with a gift in their cabin on arrival.

Well actually this is a cruise line choice. They want to avoid paying the taxes on the liquor. If it is delivered while still in port then they must pay the local taxes. If it's delivered outside the limit, then they keep the money in their pocket.
