Exclamation 2-way radios --BEST??

I am taking the Carnival Miracle in August (2012). I am going with my grandmother (2 adults) and would like some way of communication on board since (I assume) cell phones do not work when at sea.

Does anyone have any recomendations on which walkie-talkie works best (has the best distance and clearest speaker) ? (If i can get it online please send the link)

Thank you very much!

Do NOT use your Cell Phone at sea. It may work, but then you may get $100's in phone bills.
We have used the Cobra 2 way radio's sold on board the ship and been very happy with them. They work almost everywhere and are a good way to communicate. The ship is pretty big and they save a lot of walking.

The same ones you get on the ship have to be much cheaper at Best Buy, Walmart or any other place then on the ship
