Default Carnival Glory ... Bay of Fundy tides

I have just returned from a B2B cruise on the Carnival Glory and will post the review very soon. I want to highlight this unique phenomena with this post.

We docked at St John New Brunswick located on the Bay of Fundy. The bay has the some of the largest tides in the world. When one usually docks at a port the guests debark from deck 0 (zero), but in St John we debarked from deck 3. These photos will tell you why. The first was taken in the morning from the gangway when I debarked....the second was taken when I returned to the ship in the late afternoon.

We've experienced this several times as the tides can vary 25-30 feet. BTW, they like to be known as Saint John.

Too little time: I only had four Lobster Rolls and one order of Digby Scallops. I thought that was fair with only four port days though.

My rankings:
1. Billy's Seafood Saint John (located at the City Market)
2. The Caves Restaurant St Martins
3. Five Fisherman Halifax
4. Steamers Lobster Co. Saint John

I had the Digby Scallops at Salty's in Halifax--excellent.

It was 38+ feet that day I was told.

I have some experience with them, that's why I knew to take the photos.
I've been to Nova Scotia many times and the Tidal Bores further north in the Bay are quite amazing indeed.
