Default mco to port everglades

We are cruising out of Port Everglades on Dec. 15 after spending a week in Orlando. Who best to rent a car from that will allow us to drop it off as close to the cruise port as possible on Sunday the 15th.
We plan on driving from the Orlando area to Port Everglades on the Sunday.
We are on the Carnival Freedom if that is a factor in where best to drop our rental car off.
A second question is what`s the earliest we can get off the ship on the 23rd when we are back in port ?

First let me welcome you to Cruisemates Don!

The car rental returns for cars, are at the airport in Lauderdale, so find your best price, or check to see if there are any discount coupons available online, or maybe the Entertainment Book, for more savings

Your ride will be about 4 hours, and generally, you can get onboard around 11 ish...the airport is just a short trip to the port, and some have shuttles over, so ask that question, when you book...mine didn't in March.
