Default New York Cruise

we are planning a cruise, leaving from New York going to the Bahamas, leaving Feb 2-9!! Just wondering if the weather will be cold until we hit the Bahamas?? we have left from Miami & New Orleans in Dec!!

Figure the first 1-1/2 days going and the last 1-1/2 days coming back where it could be very cold. As for the Bahamas, obviously it really just depends on the weather you encounter and no one can predict that. But February is their coolest month of the year and it can get down to 60 at night and up to about 75 during the day - not hot, but definitely warm compared to NY. Last time we were down there during the Winter, we found the water a little chilly, but swimmable.

We have been in the waters of the Bahamas in Jan, had rough enough seas to cancel a port,and we walked around in jackets. Not that's the norm, but, figure what wearther SoFla is having, the Bahamas is experiencing the same. I think January has more of this type of weather then February.

Sailing from northern climes rather than Florida, is the price one pays, iwith not being able to enjoy the outside space & poolat the beginning & end of the cruise.
