I notice the luggage tags and check in documents now say Priority instead of VIP. Is this simply a name change and it still means the same thing as far as benifits. Thanks

Im a Platinum member and on my 4 day Ispiration cruise a few weeks ago my tags said VIP. Bottom line is I didnt get them delivered to my room until 7pm that night. To me there is no point in having your bags tagged with VIP or Priority. Your bags get delivered in random order like anybody elses.

Having never had a problem before .. I printed off my boarding pass last minute and didnt check it. Mine said neither VIP or priority. Luckily no one looked that closely in NOLA .. I managed to get all the way to the VIP check in room before someone said.. your boarding pass doesnt say you are platinum or higher.... opps. This was just last week. So make sure yours says one or the other.. print it before friday night lol, as that late, nothing you can do to get it fixed.
My card was there though, so it wasn't a issue.. but it pays to double check these things lately it seems. I almost always bring a old platinum card ... just in case .. but didn't this time.
I've checked in VIP enough times in NOLA that I kinda breezed my way past several security guards who were more intent on my passport picture than my boarding pass saying VIP .. whew.. got lucky. Next time I'll double check!!!
VIP and Priority are the same. I should have printed off luggage tags for futrure cruises when it still said VIP to see how long before someone at checkin asked, What's that?
Just returned from the Triumph, B2B 4+5. Luggage tags said "VIP" and "F2F". I am platinum, but did not request F2F. Bags arrived over an hour faster than the next door cabin, and we all got there as a group, but they had to go through the "cattle call" line.

It is my understanding they changed it recently to prevent any confusion between VIP and (which only some people are) and VIFP (which every one is)....
now they just say priority....

It was my understanding with the roll out of Faster to the Fun that Platinum and Diamond would also get their luggage faster. That did not happen on the Fascination in October. The cabins were ready sooner than before. There was some miss-communication with the Staff in the VIP lounge them saying 1:30 and ship Crew saying 12:30.
Ok this is not from a Platinum or Diamond or anything like that., just a friend that purchased the FTTF deal on the Triumph out of Galveston. He and his wife boarded after Platinum, Diamond, and Suites guests and were in their room by 11:30 AM, had a separate area to wait in and said the FTTF was well worth it. I would have been there with them but had to cancel due to a medical issue with my wife.
Just got off the Splendor this past Sun and the way it was explained to me make sense.
If you arrive early and your bags at loaded on the cart that takes them to the ship, then all those carts are loaded from back to front. So if you are arriving later then your bags would be toward the first of the loading area, thus unloaded in that order. Front to back, with the one that we loaded last are first to be sent to the rooms. Now that is what I was told.
When we questioned a staff member on Conquest this past week about the difference between VIP and Priority was VIP was what used to be considered Diamond level and the Priority designation was what was Platinum in the past. I didnt ask a second staff member to clarify this. I know I was Platinum before and now I am listed as Priority on the boarding pass and my card was still silver in color.
