Has anyone used Courtney Taylor Tours in Jamaica? Half afraid to get off the ship from some of the things I've read about the port. Any advice? We are leaving on the Conquest Jan. 20th. Thanks
I have not heard of them. But this is just my opinion. I would book a tour through Carnival even though you'd be paying more. My experience of venturing off on my own in Montego Bay was not good so I think going with a vendor Carnival has chosen is your best bet.
I've not heard of them, either. We booked a tour with Carnival when we were there and had a wonderful time at the Appleton Estate. Whatever you do, don't go off on your own. Jamaica is wonderful but not by yourself.
I have heard of them, but never used them... There is nothing right there at the pier, very industrial area... I too would suggest sticking with Carnival excursions and play it safe there.
I've walked into town 3 times, twice alone, and never had a problem. The last time a guy from my group wanted to walk in to get to the internet cafe so we walked. Once you get past the port the pushiness usually stops plus you walk right by a police station on the way in.
I have never heard of them. Perhaps google reviews, to see what people had to say? Ive been to the other port that Oasis uses 3 times and used RCL for excursions each time to the port.
The other place we had trouble with pushiness was at the Falls, enough that I probably would not go back. That was the worst.
Oh Flowers, I know exactly what you are talking about at the top of the falls...extremely pushy vendors that don't leave you alone, I hate that and would never go to the falls again unless there was a way to by-pass that.
