Most of the time, the first formal evening is the 2nd night out and then the 2nd to last night of the cruise...You should get some info. once on the cruise as to when the past guest welcome party is...Happy cruising.

It's normally the 2nd night they do welcome past guests but there wasn't a party per say there was a show the first night

Carnival now calls Formal night, Elegant night. No longer is it necessary to wear suits and tuxes if you choose not to.

Slacks and dress shirt is all that is required now.

The past guest party is only for gold members and above. So even if you are a past guest you may not be invited if you don't have at least 25 days cruising with CCL counting the 7 days on the cruise you are on

I have the best memories of my grandparents going on their cruises. They were always cruising, and my grandmother would splurge on a beautiful, full length gown for each cruise, she'd wear her best jewelry, and my grandfather always took his tux! As a little girl I used to pour over their pictures thinking they were so glamorous and fancy!! ! It's funny to think about now.

My grandma always joked that it was like a grown-up prom. I always pictured them dancing on the ship all fancied up. Ahhhh memories!!
