For those who stay within the rules and previously ordered liquor from Carnival by calling them up, rejoice! You can now order bottles of booze and 4 packs of beer online. http://www.carnival.com/funshops
booze is more expensive bought on a cruise ship for drinking while on the ship just like it is more expensive in a night club or stadium event then it is at the liquor store. about $5.50-7.50 is the going price for a beer. if you want booze bargains get them at the ports you visit. and the cruise line is going to try to find it and hold it so you can't drink those port bargains until the last night or take it home. some cruise lines allow you to bring on more then one bottle so go on one of those lines instead of smuggling. disney i think allows a carryon 22x14x9. during embarkment and at every port fill it with booze to drink in your cabin or in public places without labels showing.
Guess $2 shots in the room are better than whatever the ship charges. I thought a beer was mostly 5.50, these actually seem like they cost more than buying 4 singles in a bar. 6 sodas for 10 is definitely cheaper.
11 cruises in 2012 finished!
Total: 90nights at sea visiting 15 countries
BOOKED: Princess Diamond May 25th for 28nights to Alaska
PM me if you need a cruisemate for any Panama Canal cruises in 2013
Celebrity preferred but not required
Date, ship, cost pp
Thing is how many drinks do you get out of a bottle vs what you pay per drink. I think it comes out about the same if not more so you probably save a few buck buying the bottle.
Carnivals not going to lose out.
