Steakhouse Question?

We will be sailing on Carnival Liberty 7 night eastern Caribbean in December and want to make reservations at the steakhouse. My question is what's the best night to do so? Should we do it on one of the elegant nights or maybe the last night of the cruise?

Also how do I find out exactly what nights are elegant night, I know the first one is on the 3rd night a sea day but can't find any info on the second elegant night.

I would make it the first night so you get a free bottle of wine? Get your money's worth.

They used to have ribs the first night in the MDR, now its nothing special with the new menus.

I'm afraid if I do it the first night all the other food for the rest of the week will taste really bad.

Have a look at the menus and decide which you'd rather miss. We went on Day 6 which happened to be the 2nd elegant night.

I see you sailed the Liberty this year, what itinerary did you do? If it was the Eastern what nights are elegant nights, I was told the 3rd and 6th night.

Eastern - HMC, St Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk. We had an awesome time.

Elegant nights were Monday and Thursday (3rd and 6th night)

They were all great but I am partial to HMC and Grand Turk since my ideal vacation day is laying out on the beach and going in the water to cool off. The beaches on both islands are awesome.

Just returned from the Magic. The steakhouse didn't impress me at all. A. overpriced. B. steak not cooked to request. C. not a fan of the elegance I guess. I had a better experience at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Pearland (Houston) for one third less money...

JMHO.

Really, I'm surprised to hear this. I have yet to hear anything negative about any of the steakhouse's.

We were on the Liberty in Dec. of last year. We did the steak house the second night. The food was fantastic! Well worth the extra price IMO.

BTW our steaks were cooked exactly how we wanted them. (Just a little pink in the middle)

Just out of curiosity, what is the extra cost per person for the steakhouse? When we sailed on NCL a couple of years back the non-free restaurants ranged from $ 10-25 extra per person. Thanks

I believe it was $30-$35 per person. but well worth it!
