Dream Deck 8-Verandah-Balcony room question
We are first time cruisers and I have a question for those of you who are more knowledgeable than I am...

We are booked in a Verandah Balcony room --- near mid-ship I believe (8304 and 8306) and our kids will be across the hall in an interior room...

This is switched from our original booking of a Riviera---Deck 1--- interior room. Will the motion be noticeably more on Verandah?

We're sailing on June 1--Eastern Caribbean itinerary.
Motion sickness really isn't a huge concern, I know there are remedies we can take, plus none of us are bothered by other motions such as car riding, roller coasters, heck, my kids are even able to watch videos and read while driving, I think we'll be OK. But I do know that 7 nights on a ship is a different deal altogether so I was curious about being 8 decks up, as opposed to being on the 1st one, what we might expect.

Thanks for the help!

Well, the laws of physics dictates that there will be more movement felt on deck 8 as opposed to deck 1, but fear not, unless the seas are extremely rough, you will hardly feel any movement at all. We were on the Dream a few years ago in a balcony cabin 8244, a little forward of your location, and had one of the smoothest cruises ever!!

Enjoy your balcony cabin, and to get you a bit more excited, here's the view from our balcony on the Dream.

I'd agree with Jammin, I think you will be fine. Nothing wrong with being prepared in case you do get sick, but try not to worry about it. THAT will probably make you sick.

I have the same two rooms booked (8306 and 8304) on the Breeze in July 2013 and am a bit concerned whether the Promenade Deck will be too loud below. Would love to hear about your experience and from anyone else. I've heard both positive and negative reviews.

As far as getting sick I don't give it a chance to happen. I take a pill before I even get on the ship and then do so the next morning and then stop taking it all together. My reasoning is that it gives my body the chance to adapt to the motion.

Not too sure if I would feel sick or not but so this far this has worked for me with the exception of our last night on Inspiration a few years back when we had rough sea our last night.

Your going too love you room!
