Bikini on Board

I am taking a cruise on the breeze with my soon to be husband this summer and I am wondering if there are restrictions on what can be worn on board. I would like to wear a brazillian as they seem the most flattering on me but I do not want to offend anyone. Some of these can get small but I would not be wearing a thong. Do any of you ladies wear these on board?

skymaster March 28th, 2013 03:19 PM

I'm not a lady, but I can tell you that I've seen many, many of the very small bikinis worn aboard Carnival ships. If you look good in it, and I'm sure you do, you won't offend anyone. 8-)

Thank you for your response and compliment. I posted this in the first time section and only had responses from men. I hope you guys are telling me the truth and not setting me up. I would feel terrible if I was the only one in a skimpy bikini. I think I may order a more conservative bikini any way just to be safe.

Hi NU2,
Just remember, when going back inside the ship, even for a quick lunch, they do require to have a cover-up on, same for breakfast. You can even just put on a pair of shorts over suit and a t-shirt...

nu2cruzin March 28th, 2013 04:20 PM

Thanks Donna. I have no problem covering up when im not laying out in the sun.

Hello,

I've been on 5 Carnival Cruises and I've seen more than a few rear ends. Be proud of what you got and if you're ok showing it, I'm sure the other men won't mind, maybe even some ladies either.

I saw the other thread too. My wife was wondering the same thing as different bikinis have different shapes and sizes to them. I know some people can be prude about things

Im not sure if my husband would like for me to post pictures or not. He never likes it when I wear skimpy bikinis around people we know. He is fine with it when we are around strangers so maybe i can put some pics in a review for you.

OnaBoat4 April 2nd, 2013 10:39 PM

It seems some people frown upon it but whatever its our vacation so she will wear what she wants

There will be few prudes near the pools on cruise ships. :D

America has a double standard .Men are allowed to go topless on cruises but not women .

Aerogirl April 23rd, 2013 04:10 PM

Common sense goes a long way.
Keep in mind the age of people around you and if "kitty" is winking at them cover up. ;) When you charter your own yacht feel free to go as you want but in public have some sense of what right or wrong.

dbd0512 April 24th, 2013 04:51 PM

Just off the glory last week and I wore a Brazilian/thong all week. No one said anything to me. If I was not at the pool I wore a cover up. I saw one other lady wearing a thong once and that was it. Go for it and wear what you look good in.

Only allowed by the smoke stacks.

linalcaplan May 16th, 2013 05:44 PM

How many of you remember the "topless deck" area? It was (in the 90's) located on the top deck with many warning signs around it.

Duke 42 May 16th, 2013 08:46 PM

Yeah, by the smoke stacks. Wandered up there once when the topless crowd hung out there. I didn't know about that and what I saw wasn't exactly out of a Playboy. Anyway, on a cruise with a group of friends once I mentioned the area and one of our guys went AWOL for the entire week. (lol)

OnaBoat4 May 19th, 2013 02:21 PM

too bad they don't have that area now, I guess we will have to suffer...

ABSOLUTELY I remember the topless deck. I used to go up there all the time,,,,,to make sure the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) wasn't up there! ;) (That's my story, and I'm sticking with it!)

My wife wears thongs all the time on the cruise and beaches and less when we're in St. Maartan.

SleeplessNfl November 28th, 2013 06:35 PM

I have been on the Breeze 5 times this past year and I have seen ladies wearing thong bikinis. If you are uncomfortable, they do have a really nice Serenity area for adults only, with a hot tub.

Mommytwo4Kids December 24th, 2013 09:44 AM

Personally, I have no desire to see your rear hanging out of your swim suit. I'm sure there is an adults only area you can hang out in but for family areas please use a more presentable suit. I for one don't really want my 2,7,14 and 15 year old ooogling at the lady with her rear and tat tats hanging out.

You do realize that your kids see all of that and the some on the internet.
Besides a human body is nothing for anyone to be ashamed of.

This may be the case for some families but for mine not so much. I monitor the internet use and have our computer in a common area. At bed time the internet is locked down. I agree with the statement "a human body is nothing for anyone to be ashamed of" However, some things just don't need to be flaunted in public for all to see.

Sulross December 24th, 2013 05:22 PM

Sorry, this lady is on vacation and if not outlawed she should wear what she wants. if you don't want your kids to see don't go on a cruise. She is there to enjoy herself and do and wear what she wants. Chances are your kids don't care what anyone is wearing and are having their own good time without even noticing. An bottom line is, her cruise is over.
