Questions on future cruise! The Breeze!!

Just doing my research for our cruise group that is getting ready to book next month for early booking! Looking at the Breeze 8 day southern Caribbean. Grand Turk, Curacao, aruba, and La Romana DR... Looking for any information and tips on the Breeze Ship. Plus want to know if I am right on this....? Can we fly into Ft Lauderdale and shuttle over to Miami port. Or are we better off flying into Miami and staying there overnite. We always go the day before a cruise. safer and more relaxing for us. My concern is to be paying such high cost for hotels in miami. maybe save some by flying and staying in FLL instead.??? Help!! Plus looking for anyone who may have done some great excursions in the ports we are stopping at. Love to have fun. but some of us are in our sixties. we have a wide range of ages going. Any information is soooo welcome . Thanks ahead of time!

Usually people fly into FLL because it's cheaper then MIA and then shuttle or taxi over.

If MIA airfare is running the same or alittle bit more then FLL I would fly into MIA if that is where the ship is departing from.

When we cruised the Breeze we flew into FLL because Miami was alot more money. In FLL we stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites then in the morning we took SAS shuttle to Miami. It cost $15. pp. each way. The thing I did not like about SAS is my reservation was for a 10:00am pickup and they came to the hotel at 10:30 then made two other stops to pickup more cruisers. At one of the stops (Hyatt House Hotel) we stayed there for 20 minutes.

Another option is a taxi from FLL to MIA which runs around $90. give or take.

If you cruise from Late Dec. to Late March that is when the hotel rates both MIA and FLL are at the highest.

Thank you so much for the info. That was exactly what I was looking for. We have cruised out of FLL before and had a room at LaQuinta and loved it there. So we may do that again. I do appreciate all the help! Happy Cruising to u. Char
